Plan a run from A to B

iPhone + Android

Need a run that ends somewhere else, like your office, a friend's house or the station? The route generator's A → B mode plans a running route between two points and can make it longer than the shortest way to fit your distance.

Plan an A to B run

  1. On the Map tab with an empty route, tap Generate a route.
  2. Switch the sheet to A → B ("Pick both ends").
  3. Set the Distance you want to run.
  4. Turn on Start from my location to start where you are, or leave it off to tap the start yourself.
  5. Tap Choose A and B on the map, then tap the start (A) and the end (B).

Runplanner draws a route of about your distance between the two points, with waypoints you can drag to fine-tune it. Save it as usual.

Distance shorter than the way there

If the shortest route from A to B is already longer than the distance you picked, a sheet Distance too short offers Use the shortest distance, Change distance or Cancel.

A and B can be at most 50 km apart. If they are practically the same spot, the app makes a loop instead.

Questions

Can I add a stop on the way?

Yes. After the route is drawn, tap a + handle on the line to add a waypoint, or drag one of the existing points to where you want to pass.
