A hilly 10K takes longer than a flat one. Hill-adjusted time shows how much the climbs add to your run. It is part of Runplanner Pro.
What it shows
- Your estimated time including hills, with how many minutes the hills add, both while you plan and on the route details screen.
- The biggest climbs on the route: their length, average gradient and height gained.
- A time for every kilometre or mile, with a colour bar for how steep it is.
- An elevation chart coloured by steepness: green under 3%, then amber, orange, and red from 10%.
How it's calculated
The estimate uses a grade-adjusted pace model like the one Strava published: climbs cost time, gentle descents give a little back, and steep descents don't help. It starts from your pace for the route and the height profile measured every 25 metres.
Until Pro is available, the route details screen shows a locked Hill-adjusted time row that opens the Pro page. The elevation profile itself, with total climb and descent, is free. See Elevation profile.
