Runplanner Cloud backup

iPhone + AndroidComing with Pro

This is part of Runplanner Pro, which is coming soon. You can see it in the app already, but you can't unlock it yet. Join the waitlist to hear when it's ready. Everything that is free today stays free.

Runplanner Cloud keeps an encrypted backup of your routes online, so you can restore them on any phone, Android or iPhone. It is part of Runplanner Pro.

How it works

  • Your routes, plans, gear and scheduled runs are encrypted on your phone before they're uploaded. We can't read them.
  • There's no account. A 32-character recovery code is the only key. Save it in your password manager; we can't reset it or send it to you.
  • Once it's on, changes are backed up automatically a little while after you make them.

Restore on another phone

  1. Go to Profile → Settings → Backup & restore.
  2. Tap Restore with recovery code.
  3. Enter the code and tap Find backup.

Restoring only adds what's missing, and it never needs Pro.

Delete your cloud backup

In the app: Settings → Backup & restore → Turn off and delete cloud copy. Every copy on our server is deleted right away; your routes on the phone stay.

Without the app, go to runplannerapp.com/backup, enter your recovery code and delete it there. Deleting never needs Pro.

Backups are kept for two years after the last upload or restore, up to 20 MB.

Until Pro is available, Turn on Runplanner Cloud is locked and opens the Pro page. Free backups: backup file and automatic phone backup.
