Build an interval workout

iPhone + Android

Build interval workouts in the Plans tab: a warm-up, repeats of fast and easy running, and a cool-down, with time, distance and pace for each step.

Create a plan

  1. Open the Plans tab, tap + and choose Create plan.
  2. Give it a name, such as "6 × 400 m".
  3. Tap Add step. Choose the Type (Run, Recovery, Warm-up, Cool-down, Walk, Sprint or Rest), the Target (Time, Distance or Open) and, if you like, a Pace.
  4. For intervals, tap Add repeat, set how many times (2 to 20) and use Add step to repeat for the steps inside it.
  5. Tap Save.

The summary shows the estimated duration and distance. Drag steps to change the order.

Use, edit and share a plan

Tap a plan to see all its steps. From there you can Edit plan, delete it, or Share it. The ⋮ menu in the list also has Duplicate.

Plans are a reference for your workout: Runplanner doesn't time the intervals or give cues during a run. Copy the steps into your watch, or keep the plan open on your phone.
