Save, find, rename and delete routes

iPhone + Android

Every route you save lands in My routes on the Routes tab. Here's how to find, rename, sort and delete them.

Save a route

When the route on the map looks right, tap Save in the bottom panel, type a name (up to 40 characters) and tap Save route.

Find a route

  • Sort: tap the sort icon and choose Newest first, Oldest first, Shortest distance, Longest distance, Name A-Z or Name Z-A. Your choice is remembered.
  • Search: tap the search icon and type part of the name.
  • Filter by distance: tap a chip such as 5-10km (in miles when you use miles).

Rename a route

  1. Tap the route's ⋮ menu and choose Edit route.
  2. Tap Save on the map. The dialog shows the current name.
  3. Change the name and tap Update.

Delete a route

Swipe the route to the left, or choose Delete in its ⋮ menu, and confirm. Changed your mind? Tap Undo in the message at the bottom within five seconds.

Deleting a route also removes the runs you scheduled for it and their reminders.

The route details screen

Tap a route to see everything about it: distance, time and pace, the weather when you'll run it, the elevation profile, road and surface types, the number of traffic lights, and buttons to Schedule run and Start run.

Questions

Where are my routes stored?

On your phone, encrypted. They aren't uploaded anywhere unless you share one or turn on a backup. See Back up your routes.
