Offline maps

iPhone + AndroidComing with Pro

This is part of Runplanner Pro, which is coming soon. You can see it in the app already, but you can't unlock it yet. Join the waitlist to hear when it's ready. Everything that is free today stays free.

No signal in the woods or abroad? Offline maps keep the map around your saved route on your phone, so you can see it and navigate without a connection. Offline maps are part of Runplanner Pro.

How it works

  1. Open a saved route from the Routes tab.
  2. Tap Make available offline.
  3. Wait until it says Map available offline.

The download covers a strip of 500 metres on each side of the route, plus the street names for the turns. Satellite maps can't be stored, so you get the Standard map instead (and the Dark map when you use auto dark mode).

Manage downloads

Profile → Settings → Offline maps shows every download, the storage used, Remove all and Download on wifi only.

Downloaded maps last 30 days, because of the map provider's rules. With Pro they renew by themselves on wifi.

Until Pro is available, the card on the route shows a PRO tag and opens the Pro page.

Without offline maps, navigation still follows your GPS along the route when you lose signal, but parts of the map you haven't viewed recently may stay blank.
