Export a route to your watch (GPX)

iPhone + Android

Want to follow your Runplanner route on a Garmin, Coros, Suunto or Apple Watch, or load it into Strava or komoot? Export it as a GPX file and open it in that app.

Send a route to another app

  1. Open the route and tap Share.
  2. Under To your watch or another app, tap Open in another app.
  3. Pick the app, for example Garmin Connect, then follow its steps to send the course to your watch.

On iPhone, the share sheet opens; look for Copy to or Open in with the app's name.

Save the file

Tap Save GPX file to keep a copy in your files, for example to upload on a computer. In the Routes tab, the route's ⋮ menu has the same two options: Open GPX and Save to device.

Export all routes at once

Profile → Settings → Export & sharing → Export all routes saves every route as GPX in one ZIP file.

What's in the file

A standard GPX 1.1 file with the full route line, your waypoints as named points (Start, Waypoint 1, … Finish) and heights.

Questions

Does Runplanner sync with Garmin or Strava directly?

Not yet. Export the GPX file and open it in their app; it takes a few taps. Direct connections are listed as coming soon in the app.
