This is part of Runplanner Pro, which is coming soon. You can see it in the app already, but you can't unlock it yet. Join the waitlist to hear when it's ready. Everything that is free today stays free.
Spoken directions read each turn out loud, so you can keep your phone in your pocket. They are part of Runplanner Pro.
What you hear
- A heads-up about 25 seconds before each turn, and "now" when you reach it.
- Turns close together in one go, like "left, then right".
- A cue when you go off route and when you're back.
- With Distance announcements on: every kilometre or mile, how far you've run and how far is left.
- Your music gets quieter while a cue plays.
The voice uses your phone's own text-to-speech in the app's language (English, Dutch or German). If no voice is installed, the app tells you how to add one in your phone settings.
Where the switches are
Profile → Settings → Navigation has Spoken directions, Distance announcements and Test voice. During a run, the speaker button on the navigation panel turns the voice on and off.
Until Pro is available, the row is locked and opens the Pro page. Turn-by-turn directions on screen are free; see Turn-by-turn navigation.
