On iPhone, Runplanner shows your next turn on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island while you navigate, so you can glance at it without unlocking.
What it shows
- The next turn and how far away it is.
- The distance left.
- When you've paused, and whether you're sharing your location.
It updates straight away at every new turn or when you go off route. The distance counts down every few seconds.
Turn it on or off
Profile → Settings → Navigation → Show navigation on the lock screen. It's on by default and free. It needs iOS 16.1 or later.
On Android, the Navigating notification in the status bar does a similar job.
