Reminders don't arrive

iPhone + Android

If a run reminder doesn't show up, go through these checks.

  1. Notifications are allowed. Open your phone's settings, find Runplanner and turn notifications on. On Android, also check that the Run reminders category is on.
  2. The run is still scheduled. Open the route or the calendar in the Routes tab. Deleting a route also removes its scheduled runs.
  3. Check when it's due. The reminder comes at the time you set before the run (30 minutes by default) or at 9:00 that morning, whichever is earlier. An evening run is reminded in the morning.
  4. Battery saving isn't blocking Runplanner. Some Android phones (for example Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus and Huawei) stop apps in the background. In battery settings, set Runplanner to Unrestricted or Don't optimise.
  5. Open the app once in a while. Runplanner schedules your next 60 reminders and tops them up each time you open it. Weekly runs are planned four weeks ahead.

Reminders can arrive a few minutes late, because the app doesn't use exact alarms. That's normal.

The weather briefing only works on Android so far. On iPhone you get the run reminder only. See Reminders and weather briefings.
